E-mail forwarding explained
OK. So now you have your domain name registered.
Lets assume you have bogus.co.uk. Depending on who your ISP is, your
email address will probably still be something like bogus@isp.co.uk, or even
1234abc567@isp.co.uk, neither of which are very professional.
Obviously it would be much better if your email address was
Harry.Smith@bogus.co.uk. Again, its easy for your customers to remember, and it
looks professional.
And this is where email forwarding comes in handy. We create
you an email address, like the above example, which you can tell your customers and print
on your stationary. Any email sent to your new name will be sent straight to your real
email address.
If at some point you wish to change your ISP, your email
address will change. Normally this would mean that you would need all of your stationary
reprinting, and you would possibly lose revenue from customers who dont know of the
change. However with email forwarding, you only need to tell us of the change. Your
customers will still continue to send email to Harry.Smith@bogus.co.uk and we simply
forward it to your new address.
What do you need?
- A valid email address & a registered domain name.
